In a press statement, Hussein Ibrahim, Secretary-General of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), said: "June 14 is the first anniversary of the assassination of popular will by dissolving the People’s Assembly elected in the first free and fair elections witnessed by the whole world after the glorious January 25 Revolution.

"The people will not accept and will not allow the assassination of their will ever again, and will defend it with all they have.

Those who think they can yet again circumvent the will of Egyptians are delutional. Elected institutions – currently, the President and the Shura Council – reflect the will of the people. The people are capable of defending their will. "
