The Anti-Coup, Pro-Democracy National Alliance strongly condemned the decision to ban Yemeni activist and Nobel laureate Tawakkol Karman from entering Egypt.

The Alliance stressed that these practices are replicating the despotic Mubarak Police State with the same ruthless methods.

The Alliance expressed sincere gratitude to all free people of the world who support the cause of justice and constitutional legitimacy and stand in the face of the bloody military coup.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Aref, Muslim Brotherhood media spokesman, denounced the military coup regime for preventing Tawakkol Karman, the international human rights activist, Nobel Peace Prize winner and president of Women Journalists Without Borders, from entering Egypt.

In a post on his Facebook page, Dr. Aref said: "These are the freedoms safeguarded in the era of the military coup".
