Anti-Coup Alliance's Dr. Amr Darrag Slams Kerry 'Army Restores Democracy' Remarks
As the military junta in Egypt kills unarmed protesters, vindictively eliminating all opposition, especially the evident majority Islamists, US Secretary of State Kerry is happy with the murderous military’s daily atrocities.

A former Egyptian official and senior leader of the Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance (that supports President Mohamed Morsi) said he was not surprised at remarks made Sunday by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on the situation in Egypt.

Earlier, Sunday, in a news conference in Cairo, the U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said there are indications that the leaders of the Egyptian army would restore democracy and that the U.S. administration is committed to continue work with the interim Egyptian government and will continue to provide support to Egypt in all fields.

Kerry further affirmed the U.S. administration's support for the roadmap announced by the coup commanders in Egypt and for the process of transition to democracy in the country through an elected government and free elections that would include everyone (except for the largest swathe of Egyptians, of course).

In a statement, Dr. Amr Darrag, former Minister of International Cooperation, said: "These comments prove that nothing is new in the U.S. position. This has been the American administration’s stance since the beginning of the coup.

"We are not counting on foreign support in anything concerning the internal affairs of Egypt. The Egyptian people will determine their own destiny and defend their own popular will."
