Pro-Democracy National Alliance in Dakahlia Condemns 14-Year Old Maria Samaha Jail Sentence
In a glaring example of the mad military junta's justice, or lack of it, a 14-year old girl is sentenced to one year in prison and is hit with a hefty fine, for standing in a human chain in peaceful protest against the repressive regime.

Lawyers and legal experts as well as the people of Dakahlia (to the north east of Cairo) were shocked at the juvenile court harsh sentencing of a local minor called Maria Samaha to one year imprisonment and a fine of twenty thousand Egyptian pounds (about US$2900) for joining a human chain protesting the ruinous coup in Egypt. |
