The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance issued the following statement:

The people have spoken. It has become clear to all just how the people trust and strongly partake in the free and fair democratic trajectory that reflects the gains of the January 25 Revolution, and how they boycott the illegitimate elections to express their total rejection of the whole scene after the military coup together with all the procedures deemed null and void and which cannot be legalized in any way whatsoever.

The people have announced the result and declared the defeat of the coup in the blood ballot battle by deserting polling stations across Egypt, despite unparalleled fraud and untold irregularities as well as coup terror and brutal intimidation. Al-Sisi and his collaborators should now realize that Egypt stands firm against them, and that Dr. Mohamed Morsi is indeed their legitimate President, the President of all Egyptians. Military coup commanders should also recognize the victory of popular will over their ammunition boxes, cold-blooded executions and terror militias.
