Journalists For Reform (JFR – affiliated with the Egyptian opposition movement) denounced the continued fake trials of renowned journalist Mohsen Radi, former member of the Journalists' Syndicate board, of which the latest was held Saturday at the Criminal Court of Banha (to the north of Cairo).

JFR pointed that Mohsen Radi's name is also listed in the so-called "Communicating with Hamas" case – a lawsuit fabricated by coup authorities and slammed on every patriotic Egyptian journalist who refuses the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.

JFR said the continued trials of journalists, open-ended jail judgments against them, and clearly unjust verdicts for no crimes committed by them, based on flawed procedures, are all examples of gross injustice that confirm Egypt is leading a most vindictive inquisition against journalists and media professionals.
