The Anti-Coup Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance reiterates its rejection of the idea of trying the legitimate elected President Mohamed Morsi, as a matter of principle.

The Alliance affirms that the military orders issued Tuesday in the form of court decisions against President Morsi and his presidential team are null and void, issued out of jurisdiction since the justice system in Egypt now is a mere puppet in the hands of the repressive illegitimate military regime, which is using the judiciary as a means of oppression, detention, execution, and taking revenge against opponents.

The Alliance will endeavor to activate the revolutionary movement in order to overthrow the coup regime and liberate the country and all its citizens. By extension, this means annulling all arrests and detentions by the military junta through the loyal henchmen it puts on platforms of supposed justice.
