Egyptian Revolutionary Council Press Statement on US Visit
Reiterating its policy regarding communication with foreign governments, the ERC affirms it had no intention or plan to meet with US administration officials during its delegation's latest visit.

Dr. Maha Azzam and Dr. Amr Darrag affirmed that neither they, nor anyone in the Egyptian Revolutionary Council (ERC)'s delegation, had no scheduled meetings with US government officials during their visit to the US.
Dr. Maha Azzam said the visit was limited to meetings with some members of the US Congress, policy makers, think-tanks and a number of experts and scholars.
Dr. Amr Darrag added, "Our policy has not changed – we meet and have dialogue with officials from all countries and tell them about the reality of what is happening in Egypt and the state of deterioration of the political and human rights situation since the coup commander grabbed power by sheer force". |
