Press Release: Muslim Brotherhood Secretary-General Refutes Coup Media Fake News

Recently, dubious media outlets have been reporting false news about the Muslim Brotherhood in imaginary meetings with Saudi and Egyptian junta officials and 'reconciliation' initiatives, in an attempt to distract the Egyptian people from the reality of their deteriorating daily living conditions caused by coup regime policies.
We affirm that we had no meetings, nor negotiations, with any Saudi officials or anyone else regarding any initiatives. We have neither requested, nor received offers for any initiatives.
We stress that reporting such false news is a failed attempt to discredit the Muslim Brotherhood by spreading rumors about the group abandoning the peaceful revolutionary path and its commitment to democratic legitimacy and the rights of the martyrs.
The Egyptian people's Revolution will continue – God willing – until all its goals are realized. Our confidence in God – and the Egyptian people, young and old, men and women – has no limits. We are certain that Allah will grant us ultimate victory soon.
