Muslim Brotherhood Remembers Mansoura Massacre of Women, Girls in Peaceful Protest

Today (Wednesday), we mark the third anniversary of the Mansoura massacre of women and girls (of July 20, 2013), which claimed the lives of four women and girls, and injured dozens of anti-coup protesters who rejected military rule in Egypt.

While protesters in the Rabaa Square sit-in condemned military rule and demanded the return of legitimacy, Dakahlia Province residents came out in a massive demonstration that set off from outside Mansoura Stadium. Then, thugs, in coordination with and in the protection of police forces, attacked women and girls in the demonstration with knives and bullets. Thus the peaceful women and girls were killed and maimed, in another horrific atrocity of the coup and the military junta.

God bless the martyrs Hala Abu-Sheasha, high school student; Dr Islam Abdel-Ghani, pharmacist; Amal Farahat; and Ferial Zuhairy.

God bless the martyrs of Egypt, and the steadfast heroes behind the bars of the oppressors.

We are on the same path on which they sacrificed their lives, until we exact retribution for their blood, and restore for Egypt freedom and for the Egyptian people dignity and security.

God's justice and retribution from murderers never fails. Victory is near.
