Statement by Egyptian Parliament Abroad Warns Against Tiran and Sanafir Islands Handover
Sunday, June 11,2017 16:18

The Egyptian Parliament Abroad warns against any actions or steps to relinquish the two Egyptian islands (Tiran and Sanafir); and affirms that it is not the right of institutions or individuals to authorize anyone – whoever they may be – to cede control of any territories which are Egyptian according to the Constitution, the law, or historical or geographic facts. Hence, no members of an illegitimate parliament or a president who has usurped power through a military coup, and certainly no ministers appointed by the blood-thirsty coup junta, can be authorized to hand over the Egyptian islands or any other sovereign territories.

We also warn anyone who causes, facilitates or permits the abandonment of any Egyptian territories, that they will be prosecuted for high treason in accordance with article 77 of the Penal Code, and that they will be exposed politically and before public opinion, accused of compromising the homeland's sovereignty and threatening national security.

Long live Egypt, free and strong, protecting its sovereignty throughout its territories

Victory for the Egyptian people's Revolution, to bring good tidings for all
