The Muslim Brotherhood condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that targeted the al-Rawdah mosque in the city of Bir Al Abed in Sinai, which killed and wounded hundreds of victims during Friday prayers.

The Muslim Brotherhood condemns all attacks against any places of worship, all actions aimed at the Egyptian people and seek to bring Egypt into the spiral of violence and counter-violence. We hold the coup regime responsible for the deterioration of security to such a grave level, emptying Sinai from its people ,and making it a hotbed for criminals.

The Muslim Brotherhood urgently demands that the real perpetrators of this heinous crime to be identified and brought to justice swiftly, with full transparency and credibility, and not just quickly fabricate charges against innocent people, which reflects the inability and failure of the security apparatus.

The Muslim Brotherhood offers condolences to the Egyptian people, and the people of North Sinai in particular, for the loss of innocent lives in this tragic crime, and wishes full recovery to the wounded.

The MB prays to Allah (SWT) to reconcile the Egyptian people, stop the bloodshed, extremism and violence so that Egypt enjoys security and stability that its people deserve.
