The general secretariat of the Syrian National Salvation Front Held its third session in Brussels, which lasted for three days from 13th to 15th of this September, with the Front reviewing decisions taken in the two previous sessions as well as taking a new set of decisions on its envisaged plan on the road to peaceful national change. The Front also discussed the recent regional and international developments in general and the Syrian, Lebanese and Iraqi arenas in particular.  On the Syrian arena, the Front condemned Bashar’s policy of turning to Iran while isolating Syrian from its Arab sister countries. It said while it appreciates the relations with Iran, it explained that these relations should not come at the expense of other Syrian- Arab relations, affirming that Iran has its own regional interests which sometimes collide with that of Arabs. The Front also lamented that while Assad’s words are headed to resistacne of the enemies of the nation and accountability of the corrupts, his deeds are headed to suppression of his people and giving way for the corrupts in the country. On the Lebanese arena , the Front flayed President Bashar for the statements he made on Lebanon a month ago in which the Syrian president depicted a Lebanese political group as a made- in -Israel product which will soon fall apart. The Front saw these statements as part of relentless efforts by Assad to foment sedition and sectarian feuds in Lebanon to eventually undermine the country’s national unity and stability. The Front in its release called on all the Lebanese sects and groups to close ranks and steer clear from internal feuds which only work in favor of the enemies of Lebanon. On the situation in Iraq, the Front discussed the daily massacres which claim scores of innocent citizens. It voiced its concern over the fate of Iraq in particular and the region in general, calling all the Iraqi parties to maintain Iraq’s integrity, stand up against any attempt of dividing Iraq, and observe national unity as the only way out for Iraq turmoil and the only viable way to expel the occupation forces, with the Front highlighting the historical relations between Arab and Kurdish people, citing the Arab- Kurdish issues of common interest as well as their common  historical and cultural relations. On the Palestinian arena, the Front praised the recent efforts made by the Palestinians to achieve national unity and affinity and cooperation between the Palestinian factions for liberating their land and establishing their independent state.
