The defense panel of kidnapped PLC speaker Dr. Aziz Duwaik has announced that the Kfar Yona prison authority had refused to allow a doctor into Duwaik’s detention cell to check his worsening health condition.

Lawyer Ahmed Safiya, a member of Duwaik’s defense team, told PIC that the "rightist" administration of the Kfar Yona prison, located near to the Netanya settlement, renewed its refusal to allow any doctor into the prison to examine the PLC speaker’s health.

He noted that the doctor, who was delegated by the defense team, would have reported about Duwaik’s health condition in addition to detention circumstances and their ramifications on his health.

The Israeli prison’s stand reflects its contempt of the Israeli higher court’s decision ordering a comprehensive check-up on Duwaik’s health and presenting a file to the court before Saturday in addition to copy to the defense team, Safiya concluded.
