The Muslim Brotherhood’s MPs withdrew from today’s parliamentary session protesting the Parliament Chairman’s unjustified decision of ejecting Mustafa Muhammad Mustafa of the Brotherhood, after insisting in discussing the status of the French Clamenso.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s parliamentarian persisted to continue, proclaiming that the government discarded many of the parliament’s decisions. The Parliament Chairman, Fathy Soror, threatened to eject him. However, Mustafa said ’the public interest is of priority’. Accordingly, Soror called for a vote to dismiss Mustafa to escape the disclosure of new government scandals in respect of the French ship.

The ruling National Democratic Party’s MPs voted for the dismissal. Therefore, the Muslim Brotherhood’s legislatives, in a protesting action, resolved to leave the session. In press releases, they said their withdrawal came as a reaction to the unjustified decision of Mustafa’s ejection.

Hussein Muhammad, a Muslim Brotherhood’s lawmaker, said that this procedure reflects clearly the obstinate manner of the parliament and the ruling NDP towards the Muslim Brotherhood’s bloc. It, in addition, violates the bylaw that entitles all MPs to uncover the facts of any issue.

He said that the Brotherhood’s bloc will call on amending the parliamentary bylaw that authorizes the chairman to make reasonless decisions. He added that the government has overlooked warns and has allowed the pollution-causing French ship.

On his part, Mustafa Muhammad Mustafa remarked that he was practicing his constitutional right. In accordance with the bylaw, all parliamentarians have the right to reveal the facts of any question, adding that the government uses its parliamentary majority to screen the reality.

The spokesman of the Brotherhood’s bloc, Hassen Hamdy, said that if the parliament’s chairmanship does not change its attitude towards the Brotherhood’s bloc, the bloc will bring up the question of the bylaw, in the next session. The bloc, in addition, will take several stances against Soror’s oppression, who exploits the parliamentary majority to pass actions unconformable to the law and the constitution.
