Nasr Hamed Abu Zaed, a philosophy professor, asserted the recent development of the Muslim Brotherhood’s rhetoric. This progress has coincided with the Egyptian general mood; absence of freedom under a publicly non-legitimate political regime.

"Islamists form a major political power since Renascence. Now, the Muslim Brotherhood is at the forefront of the Egyptian opposition. Although I do not see eye to eye with them regards some ideological mottos such as ’no reasoning over a subject that is decided by a religious text’ and ’Islam is a realign and a state,’ I wholly agree with them politically," Abu Zaed told Dream Channel when asked about his stance of the Brothers.

He, in addition, welcomed the access of the group to the parliament since they come via free vote. Abu Zaed remarked his acceptance of Islamists taking over power through just elections. He, furthermore, called on the Muslim Brotherhood to spell out their campaign slogan’ Islam is the Solution’, especially in respect of certain political issues.
