The Brotherhood’s Body Competes for Presiding Four Parliamentary Committees

 
The Muslim Brotherhood body in the parliament prepares to run for the presidency vote of four parliamentary committees; of agricultures, education, religion and culture, and media. The vote is expected to heat up as the ruling National Democratic Party musters its means to win missing the Muslim Brotherhood to get none of them.
 
Muhammad el-Katany, the head of the body, is the most qualified candidate of the MB’s body for the committee of education for he is an academic professor. In addition, Ahmed Deab is also a potential nominee.
 
For the Committee of Religion and Culture, there are many nominees that are scholars of Al-Azher.
 
However, these nominations are not final since the MB’s body is full of well-qualified personas.
 
The Body’s spokesman, Hamdy Hassan, said that the body did not receive a replay to its request that the MB’s representatives should form 20% of all committees since the MB’s body represents 20% of the parliament.  
 
He added that the MB’s body can field competent challengers that are able to avail these committees. Hassan expects the MB’s representatives to win the presidency of some committees but he voiced his worry that the NDP will not allow any side to play the second fiddle to it in the parliament.
