The State Security forces in Beni Suweif detained 11 citizens supporting MB candidate after the public prosecution released them on Sunday evening May, 20, 2007. The State Security forces in Beni Suweif detained 11 citizens supporting Gaber Mansour, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate for the constituency of Ahnasia, after the public prosecution released them on Sunday evening May, 20, 2007. Instead of releasing them, they were moved at 11.30PM from Beni Suweif police station to appear before the state security that detained Mohamed Halfaya. The others were sent to Beni Suweif police station and they were released only in the morning. The state security accused the detainees of hanging signs bearing religious slogans !!. The security services torn all sings of the MB candidate after they were hanged in Bandar Beni Suweif, while the candidate continued campaigning and touring villages of Al Hakamna, Beni Hamad and Al-Kawm Al-Ahmar where residents received him warmly.
