Security Forces arrested five MB members from El-Minya Monday, March 23, 2009.  The arrested are: Mohamed Helmy, Reda Mohamed Mahmud, Mohamed Sirry Sinousi, and Rabi’ Salah Gom’a. 
 
It is mentioned that the arrested had been nominated to run for elections for a youth center in El-Minya but not even MB nominations appeal to the Egyptian regime so it arrested them.
 
The current month of March has witnessed an ongoing government escalation against the MB in which dozens of MB members were arrested including a group of 20 MB leaders arrested on March 3.
