The Islamic Group called on all Lebanese to participate in marking the anniversary of assassinating president martyr Rafik Al-Hariri and his fellow martyrs, in order to show faithfulness to these martyrs and to support the national unity, to bypass the stage of the national division". The group urged all people to:" close ranks and reactivate the constitutional institutions to attain unity in front of the regional and international threats against the country".

The group said in the statement issued on Monday:" Two years after the crime of assassinating the president and later crimes whose committers are still recorded “unknown”, the perpetrators of these crimes against the Lebanese people, security and stability haven’t been brought to justice yet".

It saw that:" Completing the investigations into the president’s assassination crime and forming a court that can punish the criminals is a national and legitimate duty; those who block this are offending Lebanon, the Lebanese and human justice".

The statement said that:" Disasters and ordeals are supposed to unite differing people despite their differing views and situations, but this crime has unfortunately turned into a point of difference and a national division among the Lebanese".

This is the text of the statement (a copy of which was obtained by Ikhwanweb):

While marking the anniversary of assassinating president Rafik Al-Hariri and his fellow martyrs, the Islamic Group declares the following:

First: Two years after the crime of assassinating the president and later crimes whose committers are still recorded “unknown”, the perpetrators of these crimes against the Lebanese people, security and stability haven’t been brought to justice yet
Therefore, Completing the investigations into the president’s assassination crime and forming a court that can punish the criminals is a national and legitimate duty; those who block this, intentionally or unintentionally, are offending Lebanon, the Lebanese and human justice in general.

Second: Disasters and ordeals are supposed to unite differing people despite their differing views and situations, but this crime has unfortunately turned into a point of difference and a national division among the Lebanese.

Third: We urge all people to close ranks and reactivate the constitutional institutions to attain unity in front of the regional and international threats against the country.

Fourth: The Islamic Group calls on all Lebanese for participating in marking the anniversary of assassinating president martyr Rafik Al-Hariri and his fellow martyrs, in order to show faithfulness to these martyrs and to support the national unity, to bypass the stage of the national division.
