Member of the Israeli parliament (Knesset) Marina Solodkin has announced intention to table a proposal banning Niqab (face veil) for all females in Israel.

Hebrew media on Friday said that Solodkin, originally from Russia, would also propose banning the full cover of a female's body in public places.

She claimed that the step, which practically targets Palestinian females, was because such a costume "humiliates women and encroaches on their rights".

Judaism imposes a head cover on married women using a scarf, hat or even a wig.
