The Preparatory Committee for National Dialogue (PCND) and the Supreme Council of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in Yemen held an urgent meeting on Saturday to discuss what has unilaterally taken place by the Yemeni government on the Public Election Law amendment project which was approved by its parliamentary bloc.

The JMP says that this step finishes off the national dialogue and sets aside what was reached in the February 2009 agreement that has become a basis for the legitimacy of the national consensus and has received unanimous Parliamentary approval.

The PCND and JMP announced that they are going to hold a press conference on Monday, December 13, 2010 at the PCND's headquarters to inform the public about the decisions taken and the latest developments.
