Adel Hamid, Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Member of Parliament, on behalf of the party, attended the opening session of the Egyptian Stock Exchange trading on Monday together with Tariq Malt of the Wassat Party, Dr. Hani Sarie-Eldin of the Free Egyptians  Party and representatives of the Nour party.

In a statement to
IkhwanWeb, Adel Hamid said: "It’s been rumored that Islamists prohibit the Stock Exchange, and on arrival in power, they would ban it. The most effective response to these false accusations is our presence here attending this opening session today."

Hamid added: "This is a message for those inside and outside of Egypt, a practical response which, far from media statements, proves that the FJP did not come to clash with or undermine existing institutions of the state."

"By attending the opening session of the Egyptian Stock Exchange today, we emphasize the importance of the money market in the Egyptian economy, and to clarify some issues raised about work in the money market, the vital and necessary role of the stock exchange for stimulating the economy and providing funding for companies, especially in the next phase," Hamid said.
