On Tuesday 24 April 2012, a Muslim Brotherhood delegation including Dr. Mohamed Ali Bishr, member of the Guidance Bureau and Walid Shalabi, Media advisor to the Brotherhood Chairman attended a memorial ceremony for His Beatitude Pope Shenouda III, at Cairo Abbassia Cathedral.


Earlier, in March, the Muslim Brotherhood attended the funeral of Pope Shenouda where he was buried at Deir Anba Bishoy Monastery in Wadi Natrun, north of Cairo, and also attended the ceremonies held at the cathedral.
