Sarah Khairat Al-Shater: Father Refuses All Visits; Protests Inhuman Conditions in Detention
Sarah Al-Shater, daughter of Khairat Al-Shater (Vice-Chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood), affirmed that her father insists on continuing his refusal of family visits at the prison, by way of a strike he started more than a month ago, protesting inhuman prison visit arrangements, procedures and conditions, including the use of glass barriers that prevent him from even shaking the hands of his loved ones.
In a post on her Facebook page, Sarah Al-Shater said: "My father is still refusing visits at prison. This has lasted more than a month now. He is protesting inhuman visiting conditions, where the putschists put a glass barrier between us, preventing us from even kissing his hands".
