Officers of Tokh City Police Station arrested Ragab Ibrahem Darwesh who was a subject to a cocktail of torture patterns in order to force him to make confession in a murder case. Darwesh was beaten, tied up, hung upside down naked, and kept in the mortuary for a while. This state of brutality lasted till Darwesh’s family reported these inhuman practices to the Attorney General. More stunningly is that Darwesh was found not guilty when the real criminal showed up and pleaded guilty. Darwesh was in a state of extreme fatigue when he left the police station. His condition recorded in a medical report. Upon threats of the involved police officers, the family filled reports to some human rights organizations, Interior Minister, Justice Minister, and the prosecution to protect the family from these threats. |
