Hussein Ibrahem, the vice president of the parliamentary Muslim Brotherhood’s bloc, hailed the release of 453 of the detained Brothers; of them 293 were jailed in Borg al-Arab Prison while 160 were arrested in Cairo detention centers. The Brotherhood’s MP said it is a significant step taken by the Interior Ministry to put an end to the suffering of numerous Egyptian families. He, moreover, requested a similar decision for freeing the remaining captures that have committed no crime but the exercise of their constitutional right of voting. |
