Six Muslim Brotherhood members of parliament (MP) received an invitation from the Egyptian German Society to meet with a high level German delegation affiliated with the opposition Socialist party. The meeting, which was held in one of MP, Dr. Akram Al Shaer was one of the participants and stated to Ikhwanweb that meeting revolved mainly around the future of democracy in Al Shaer affirmed that the German delegation discussed the issue of separating of religion and state; a concept implemented in The Muslim Brotherhood clarified its stance on tourism in Egypt and explained that they believe "The state is obliged to protect tourists and ensure their safety while visiting the country and that tourists should be allowed to drink alcoholic beverages if they abide by laws and regulations of their host country” Al Shaer added.
